Editorial policy

This page outlines our core editorial policy.

1. What we list (and don't)

We cover premium private rental villas in Japan, focusing on facts — amenities, capacity, price range, area. We don't write articles whose purpose is to funnel bookings to a specific property, we take no bookings ourselves, and we only link out to official sites (plus clearly-labelled Rakuten Travel links).

2. Verification

Facts are compiled from official sites and checks with the properties; sources are listed on every villa page. Listings unverified for over 180 days are internally flagged for re-verification.

3. Advertising separation

Some links are affiliate links (marked rel="sponsored" and disclosed with a PR tag). Advertising never affects whether or how a property is listed or evaluated. PR/tie-up articles always carry a PR badge at the top.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (page views, link clicks). Data is collected per Google's privacy policy; no personally identifying information is entered by us.
